CLEVELAND BEER WEEK'S official opening ceremony and four-course dinner with special guests Garrett Oliver of Brooklyn Brewery and Marianne Frantz of the American Wine School. Oliver and Frantz will discuss a selection of craft beers and wines that they have paired with a 4-course menu created by Michael Symon Restaurant Group. With master of ceremonies Jimmy Malone of WMJI.

Advance tickets are required and are $75/person. Buy a table of 8 and save $120! All proceeds benefit Malone Scholarship Fund. Must be 21 years of age. No children admitted. Tickets only available until 10/12 at 8 pm; no walk-ins permitted.

Course 1: mixed green salad with pears, candied walnuts, blue cheese, maple vinaigrette. Beer: bottle conditioned Brooklyner Weisse. Wine: Prinz von Hessen Kabinett Riesling, 2007, Rheingau.
Course 2: tuna crudo with kalamata remulade, haricot vert, orange, fried capers. Beer: Brooklyn Sorachi Ace. Wine: Sokol Blosser Pinot Gris, 2009, Oregon.
Course 3: crispy pork belly with rosemary ginger sweet potatoes, almonds, cider reduction. Beer: Spaten Optimator Doppelbock. Wine: M. Chapoutier "La Petite Ruche" Crozes-Hermitage, 2008, Rhone.

Celebrate Cleveland Beer Week with Magic Hat Brewing Company! Start the evening at Winking Lizard Lakewood at 4 p.m. where you will receive your liquid passport and start the "liquid hunt" there, and then proceed on foot to Jammy Buggars, Plank Road Tavern, Riverwood and Market in Rocky River for an after party with complimentary food and Magic Hat Brewmaster Justin McCarthy. Complete your "liquid passport" and be entered into a drawing for a chance to win a trip to Magic Hat Brewing Company in Vermont or one of many other great prizes (winner must be present).

$15/person includes liquid passport, t-shirt, pint glass, beer samples at all 5 locations, admission to the after party at 7 pm, and transportation back to Winking Lizard Lakewood. Craft Beer Lovers Bus Tour

Join the big dogs of craft brewing in Ohio for a tour of what's brewing! At 11 am, meet at Thirsty Dog in Akron for a tour and beer. Then, depart at 11:45 with John Najeway and Mike Reynolds from Thirsty Dog, along with brewer Jack Kephart of The Brew Kettle, for a ride to Cleveland. Next stop, Great Lakes Brewing Company, Ohio's first craft brewery now celebrating more than 20 years, for a brewery tour and tasting with brewer Luke Purcell. Then a walk across the street to Ohio City's newest brewpub, Market Garden, where long-time Ohio Native and brewer Andy Tveekrem will host a tour and tasting. Then off to The Brew Kettle for lunch and a tour of The Brew Kettle Production Works with Jack Kephart. From there, we will head back to Thirsty Dog for a special end-of-day beer.

Advance tickets are required and are $45/person including lunch, samplings at all breweries, and a souvenir pint glass. All proceeds benefit Malone Scholarship Fund. Must be 21 years of age. No children admitted.

CLEVELAND BEER WEEK concludes with this monster celebration featuring more than 70 breweries, a special “Ohio Brewery” area with various beers from local breweries, and tasty appetizers that pair well with craft brews.

Brewer’s Circle tickets are $65 in advance ($75 at door, if available) and include expedited VIP entrance, tastes of rare/exclusive brews and food pairings in the Brewer’s Circle Lounge open all evening, 3 oz. tasting glass, 25 tasting tickets, a commemorative t-shirt, access to all General Admission beers/food, and a signed copy of the newly released book "Ohio Breweries" by local author Rick Armon.
