The first annual event of its kind in the Cleveland area, CLEVELAND BEER WEEK was established as a not-for-profit, collaborative celebration to raise awareness of and education for the strong American and imported craft brew industry, while promoting patronage at local establishments.

 
CLEVELAND BEER WEEK will showcase events at bars, taverns, restaurants, grocers, specialty beverage stores, and other retail and purchase locations throughout the region. From musical entertainment and leisure activities to ale tastings and brewmaster meet-and-greets, all CLEVELAND BEER WEEK events will feature, offer unique specials for, and raise awareness of craft brews.

CLEVELAND BEER WEEK will culminate in a BREWzilla, a grand reception to be held on Saturday, October 24. A large-scale ale tasting and social gathering, BREWzilla will be held The Arcade in downtown Cleveland and will feature more than 80 tasting stations, appetizers and other culinary delights that pair well with craft brews, entertainment, and guest appearances by renowned brewers. All proceeds from the Grand Reception will be donated to the Malone Scholarship Fund which is managed by the Cleveland Scholarship Program, Northeast Ohio’s only nonprofit resource that promotes educational awareness and community enrichment by preparing the workforce of tomorrow.

“With the number of stellar breweries in our region, as well as the enormous popularity of craft brews both here and across the nation, it seems only fitting that our brewers, retailers, specialty stores, and distributers join together to launch CLEVELAND BEER WEEK as a week-long educational celebration,” notes John Najeway, president of the Ohio Craft Brewers Association and co-owner of Thirsty Dog Brewing Company.
